Stockholm Transport

Stockholm runs a very extensive public transportation system. There is a commuter rail system, three regional rail systems, and the Stockholm metro. Stockholm also provides a number of different bus lines and an inner-city boat line. Because most of the transportation systems (excluding the boats) are all operated by the same organization, there is a common ticket system which allows you to travel various modes of transportation on the same type of ticket.

The major roads that run through Stockholm ar the E4, E18, and E20. There is a motorway ring road that is still under construction to the southwest of the city center. IF you want another way to visit the nearby cities or Turku or Hesinki, you can take a ferry.
