Phoenix Travel Guide Arizona - When planning a trip to the Phoenix, Arizona area, you will find a desert climate that shelters a well-known resort and spa destination. Visiting the city brings you in the surroundings of a vacation that offers more than 300 days of sunshine on a yearly basis. It is no wonder that the city has earned the nickname of Valley of the Sun. While planning an itinerary for Phoenix, it is wise to take notice of some of the many suburbs and neighborhoods that the area offers.

In the Greater Phoenix area, tourists gather to admire some of the lovely mansions and regal homes, which are surrounded by the scent of sweet fruit trees. In the Southwest part of the Phoenix area, you will find a haven for the outdoorsy traveler with golfing, hiking, and camping opportunities. A great place to visit is called the Estrella Mountain Regional Park.

When venturing into the downtown section of Phoenix, you will encounter an assortment of restaurants, nightclubs and shopping when paying a visit to the Arizona Center. Plenty of culture and history can be located in this part of town. There are also a lot going on in the Copper Square part of town. Additional downtown sights to make note of includes the Patriots Square; Arizona Science Center, as well as the Phoenix Museum of History or the Phoenix Art Museum.

Before taking off into the city of Phoenix, you will have to set up base camp somewhere about town. This means choosing a great Phoenix hotel if you haven't done so before arriving. When you are working with a budget, there are plenty of hotel selections to consider, including the Rodeway Inn or Motel 6. For something a little more comfortable (in terms of what you get for your money), a stay at the Pointe South Mountain Resort is suggested.
