Boston Shopping - Boston offers some of the most enjoyable and varied shopping experiences in the Northeast. One of the most popular is the Faneuil Hall Marketplace, which dates back to 1742. It features Quincy Market Colonnade, a building that houses more variety of foods and confections than can be imagined. The remaining four buildings, Marketplace center, North Market, and South Market, feature a multitude of chain outlets as well as various indoor and outdoor vendors.

Newbury Street, in Back Bay, is a Boston shopper’s paradise. It consists of eight attractive blocks packed with boutiques and shops inside of 19th-century brownstones, and features some of the best dining in the city. Some stores to be found on Newbury Street include Prada, Gucci, Armani, Kate Spade, and many others. Newbury Street is also where the famous Newbury Comics originated.

Downtown Crossing, at the intersection of Washington, Summer, and Winter streets, features a mix of everything – historic sights, street vendors, dining and clubs, as well as some of Boston’s greatest retail shopping opportunities. At the very heart of the city, Downtown Crossing is home to Filene’s, Filene’s Basement, Macy’s, 150 jewelers and over 200 other retailers including Brattle Book Shop, Borders, and Windsor Button. Downtown crossing offers shoppers a day filled with sights and sounds that could only be found in the very heart of Boston.
